From Sunday, August 24, 2025, to Friday, August 29, 2025, we conducted the Overseas Short-Term Training Project in Korea. This program involved 28 students from both campuses (8 from Hirose Campus, 20 from Natori Campus), who visited and toured universities, factories, and other facilities near Seoul for training.
The training schedule was as follows:
August 24 (Sun): Departed Sendai Airport, arrived at Incheon International Airport
August 25 (Mon): Visited Dongdaemun Design Plaza, visited Chubu University's Goyang City Campus, visited Seoul Tower
August 26 (Tue): Visited Changdeokgung Palace, Bukchon Hanok Village, War Memorial of Korea, Seoul Library, etc.
August 27 (Wed): Visit Suwon Hwaseong Fortress, Hyundai Motor Asan Factory, Samsung Innovation Museum
August 28 (Thu): Group-specific training
Science Course: Visit Arario Museum in Space, Seoul Robot & AI Museum, etc.
Architecture Course: Visit Ewha Woman's University, Seoul Museum of Photography, Kyungdong Church, Samsung Museum of Art Leeum, etc.
August 29 (Fri): Departure from Incheon International Airport, Arrival at Sendai Airport
This training program was planned based on destinations proposed by the students themselves during the application stage.
Chubu University, visited on the 25th, is where our school's Professor Taiyo Sakaguchi is affiliated as an overseas researcher. Students toured various faculties, providing a valuable opportunity to learn about a foreign university.
During the group-based training on the 28th, students selected science-focused or architecture-focused courses based on their individual interests, deepening their learning.
This training allowed students to learn about Korea from diverse perspectives—not only its history and culture but also through visits to various architectural sites and cutting-edge IT industries—thereby enhancing their understanding.
We hope this experience will help students choose their future paths with a global perspective.
This program was made possible through a donation from G.O.P. Co., Ltd. and funding from the National Institute of Technology Headquarters' FY2025 “Overseas Activity Support Program for National Institute of Technology Students.” We express our sincere gratitude.
